The Journal

(Wrote this when I was 11. Might not make a whole series out of this,but I still wanted to share it).

                                                    Chapter 1

Just an "Ordinary" Day

Listen very carefully....if evil shall possess this power than the whole world is at stake. Learn the journal as its written and don't alter it.

When you alter the journal you alter reality.

"Haaaaaaa! What a bunch of baloney."Jacob said laughing as if he heard a hilarious joke.

"What do you mean, Jacob. It was written by our great uncle Benfo-"Eli said responding to Jacob’s outburst.

“STOP!”Jacob said interrupting.

“you know we don't say that name at home. And anyways, little sis you would believe in this stuff since your only 7. You believe in any magic you see. Heck, you believe in unicorns and fairies."

"Hey! I'm turning 8 next month.But I still don't know what i want.."Eli shouted angrily.

"Well, figure it out. And you still have some time since this month just started and your birthday is next month."Jacob said trying to calm Eli down.

"Eli what are you reading?"Jacob asked curiously.

"Physics, its homework."Eli proudly stated.

"Well you were always smart for your age."Jacob said.

"Unusually smart"Whispers Jacob.

"You're already in seventh grade so it kinda makes sense even though you're only 7. Even though you're smart you still have the mind of a seven year old. "Jacob said trying to prove a point or something. (I don’t KNow).

"Can't argue there."Eli said agreeing.

"Eli can you make sure my sculpture doesn't fall I'm going to get a snack." Jacob murmured.

"Yeah sure."Eli replied.

Jacob goes down to the kitchen and grabs a snack, cheese and some crackers. He looked around just because he was bored and nothing was out of the ordinary. The fishes were in the tank were swimming around, the flower vases were sitting on the living room table, the dog was asleep, everything was normal.

Jacob started zoning out and started to day dream. He saw an evil man, well...something that looked more or less like one. It had a green crystal his hand and a book in the other.

Once Jacob stopped zoning out he grabbed his cheese and crackers and went upstairs only to find his little sister on the floor rolling around in the blankets.

"What are you doing"said Jacob.

"I don't know I'm bored. I'm done with homework." replied Eli.

"Already!"exclaimed Jacob surprised.

"Yup."Eli replied.

"Well, I'm going to finish my homework while eating good old cheese and crackers." Jacob said while ( for some reason still shocked. I don't know why.)

Jacob started doing his math homework which will take about a good 30 minutes.He got confused every once in a while but managed to pull through.

"YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!" Eli shouted with a surprising amount of excitement.

"What is it asked Jacob" confused.

"There giving Dora".She said really excited.

"Seriously."Said Jacob annoyed.

"What, it's my favorite show next to paw patrol."She said.

As you can tell, she might have the intellect of a seventh grader but she still has the mind of a 7 year old. Something Jacob didn't mention was that Eli's smarts are because of a extremely rare mental mutation called N.C.D.S. This stands for Nucleus cell DNA set. It refers to how a computer can be preset to know certain things. It's basically the same thing but with the cells of a brain. It affects the nucleus and specifically the DNA. It pre sets it to know all things to a random grade. This is the furthest scientists have gotten about this mutation. They still don't know how it collects so much accurate information or information at all by itself and all the information implanted is from the mutation itself. The only other person to have this is Eli's and Jacob's great, great grandfather, Luisen Vinesmicvkk. This is all that scientist have found so far.

Anyways, because Jacob is still doing his homework-

"I'm done with my homework Eli I'm coming down to watch T.V."said Jacob.

Nevermind, he finished his homework already.

"Jacob you can watch T.V. Dora finished."Eli replied.

"I'm coming down. Make sure you change the channel before I get down."Jacob said hoping to see his favorite channel once he got down.
