There are several guidelines for effective persuasive writing, but here's four that can help you get started:

1. Write clearly and concisely. Your essay needs to be direct, easy to understand and avoid wordiness.

2. Use the right writing style. Your writing should flow in a natural way, but you can spice it up with imagery or word choice, if necessary for your writing purpose or audience.

3. Provide facts and evidence in your writing to show what you're saying is true or relevant.

4. Do your research before writing your persuasive essay to prove yourself knowledgeable about the topic you're writing on.
